How to Calculate Unit Price
At the supermarket or online, even the same type of product comes in varied sizes and prices, making it hard to tell which is cheaper. Converting to a unit price (per 100g, per unit) lets you compare fairly. The product with the lowest unit price offers the best value.

In the example above, A looks cheapest by price alone, but by per-100g price, C is the cheapest at ₩1,300. However, bulk is not always cheaper, so always compute the unit price to be sure.

How is unit price calculated?
Unit price = price / size. The per-100g price is (price / size) x 100. For example, 600g for ₩9,000 is ₩1,500 per 100g.
Can I compare products of different sizes?
Yes. Converting to a unit price lets you compare on the same basis (per 100g or per unit) even when size and price both differ, so you can tell which product is actually cheaper.
Is bulk always cheaper?
No. Even a bulk pack can be more expensive per unit than a smaller size once you compute the unit price. Always check the unit price, especially for multipacks and promotional bundles.
Can I mix g and ml when comparing?
Weight (g) and volume (ml) are different properties, so comparing them directly is inaccurate. Enter the same unit throughout (all g, all ml, or all counts).
